The LaGrange Art League is dedicated to the advancement of the arts and artists. Through our efforts we hope to promote an appreciation and awareness of the visual arts in our community. Our member’s talents cover a gamut of mediums from oil’s and watercolors to fabrics, collages, sculpture, photography and everything in between. The gallery is open Monday through Saturday and the offerings change every month. If you are looking for the perfect gift or for a special piece of art for your home or office the LaGrange art league is the place where you are sure to find it. Come in to the gallery and browse. We are sure you will enjoy the experience and find the work of our local artist's unrivaled anywhere.

The La Grange Art League will offer a 3 day Plein Air Workshop by Jacque France, award winning plein air painter.
Jacque holds a BFA from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago, where she majored in painting. Landscape plein air and studio painting are Jacque’s passion. She and her husband Gordon paint and attend painting workshops throughout the United States, Canada, Italy, France and the United Kingdom.
The emphasis will be on atmospheric perspective, composition, value, contrast and color. We will discuss how to organize and set up for plein air painting. There will be at least one demonstration by Jacque. A critique of the days work will end each painting day.

Fall Frenzy (judged)
Stop in to the gallery and see how our talented members interpret this seasonal theme. The "Ed Shaver Traditional Landscape Award" will be presented to the winner.

The LaGrange Business Association will be auctioning off the decorated Adirondack chairs that have graced the streets of LaGrange all summer. Included in this auction are chairs painted by several of our members and the beautiful chair done by Nan Brummerstedt that represented the LaGrange Art League itself. The auction will take place on Thursday September 4th at 6:00pm amid a celebration featuring a pig roast, music and many other wonderful diversions. There will be 89 Adirondack chairs auctioned off so be sure to come out and bid on your favorite!

These two fine artists will have their works on display in the gallery for the entire month of October. You will be captivated and very pleased with the excellent work done by these two talented women. Be sure to come to the gallery and see the wonderful creations by these exceptional ladies.

FALL ART CLASSES FORMING NOW
Art classes are forming now for the spring session. Why not refine your technique or learn some new techniques in preparation for natures rebirth.
We offer a variety of classes covering many mediums, and our instructors are among the best to be found anywhere.

Community Art Sale

The laGrange Art League is offering for sale the community art projects done for the celebration of Illinois Arts Week by members of the community and passersby during the "arts nights" this summer in LaGrange.
