(State date Oct 2, 2009 Finished date End of March 2010)
Student will assemble bundles of different sort of found papers using string, wire, yarns and ribbons. Paper bundles then are place outside in the elements attached to the trellis in the La Grange Art League court yard. The classroom assignment begins with the unpredictable process of decay, fascination with time and change, intriguing the students and the community to bare witness. As the winter class session resume students will be asked to use these papers to explore the process of limitation as a spring board for higher creativity. Ideally a week long exhibit of these finished pieces of art work would invite the students, their family and friends to share in the completion of their process.
*** Update: after a snowy winter and Moth Nature having her way with the bundles, they have been taken down and the Friday morning Collage Class is working with their contents. There will be a show of the outcome from Monday, March 15 thru Saturday, March 20th. Please join us on the 20th from 2-4pm for a reception with coffee and baked goods.
