2 Day Plein Air Oil Painting Workshop
Instructor:
Jacque France

9:30 am to 4 pm

Whether painting it or teaching it, landscape painting is Jacque’s passion. She paints outside throughout the year whenever

possible and when it’s not possible you’ll find her absorbed in a book about landscape painting or landscape artists.

Summer usually includes a trip to Italy where she and her husband have attended a landscape-painting workshop for the past twelve years. Painting locations and workshops in Arizona, California, New England, France and Scotland have helped develop her craft and unique style.

The emphasis of the workshop will be on atmospheric perspective, composition, value, contrast and color. We will discuss how to organize and set up for plein air painting and will include demonstrations by the instructor. Experience the joy of painting the landscape you see in front of you- rather than from a photo and the true meaning of painting the light. A critique of the days work will end each painting day. Painting locations will be announced closer to the workshop dates.
