Every student will receive a professionally printed item of their choice featuring their original artwork. Leggings, tote bag or pillow are just a few of your choices. Go further and order yardage of your fabric design for personal sewing projects or to have a professional seamstress sew and select clothing for you. Snack and supplies included along with creating initial artwork, pattern and one printed item. Additional cost for any additional items ordered.

Students will learn how to use ballpoint, India ink, and markers. Students will then test various colors to experiment with value and shading. Each lesson will emphasize drawing a finished piece. Dates: Thursdays, first floor studio Time: 4-5:30pm This class is an introduction to drawing with an emphasis on the development of visual awareness. Experimentation and exploration of techniques and subject matter will be achieved through the use of various media including pencil and charcoal. Projects will emphasize development of technical skill. This class works from the principal elements of drawing including the study of line, shape, value and composition. Methods of instruction will include drawing from direct observation and various exercises designed to sharpen individual perception. This class is designed for ages 10-14 with an interest in drawing and sketching. Limit is 8 students

Instructor: Carolyn Thomas-Davidoff Dates: Sunday April 29, 2018 Time: 1-3:30pm, downstairs studio Ages 10-14 Would you like to learn how to make the festive Mexican paper banners for Cinco de Mayo? ese banners are like the ones that you see in many Mexican restaurants, and will be made using a style of paper cutting called “Papel Picado.” Students will be taught two or more folding and cutting styles, and will prepare a short string of paper banners to bring home. All supplies provided. Fee: $45NM

Cancellations made less that 8 days before a workshop will not be refunded. If LGAL needs to cancel a workshop, a full refund will be issued.
