1 - canvas panels (11x14 or 12x16 or 20x16) - I work on Centurion Oil Primed Linen Canvas Panels, find them and almost all the supplies at http://www.jerrysartarama.comIf you want to buy one canvas now, I will be putting in a canvas order after the first class and get the price down.

Palette or Disposable paper Palettes- The bigger the better.

Safflower oil for painting medium and Baby oil - brush cleaner,
 very important items to start painting.  I use Safflower oil as my painting medium and it works great and Baby oil to clean my brushes. I buy Safflower oil in bottles by Utrecht at the Dick Blicks stores around Chicago or online.

Roll of paper towels and plastic grocery bags for trash


3 - small plastic or glass containers -  Cottage Cheese type with top to store leftover paint and 2 smaller ones for holding painting mediums (about 2 - 3" in size).

Oil Paint Brushes - Utrecht Series 209 Pure Natural Chungking Hog Bristle Brush, BrightFlats, Size: #12 - (1"wide brush), #10 - ( 3/4"wide brush), #8 - 5/8 wide brush, #6, #4 
Good strong brushes. 

Palette Knives - Blick Palette Knives by RGM, Style 31 or Style 72triangle shaped blades about 1" and 2-1/4" in blade length
(1 for small areas and 1 for bigger jobs)


Suggested Oil Paint Colors 

Alizarin crimson
Cadmium Red Light
Cadmium Yellow Light
Utrecht Cobalt Blue Hue (I use the Utrecht Cobalt blue Hue)or Ultra Marine Blue 
Titanium White
Ivory Black 

Venetian Red
Burnt Umber
Burnt Sienna
Veridian Green

Utrecht paints are also lower priced oils and work great get them online or at Dick Blicks art supplies. Grumbacher oil paints work well if you are just starting out- Hobby lobby. 
There are a lot of other brands too out there, but these will do the job for us
