Dates: Thursdays: 4/4, 4/11, 4/18, 4/25
Time: 4-5:30pm, first floor studio
This class is an introduction to drawing with an emphasis on the development of visual awareness. Experimentation and exploration of techniques and subject matter will be achieved through the use of various media including pencil and charcoal. Projects will emphasize development of technical skill. This class works from the principal elements of drawing including the study of line, shape, value and composition. Methods of instruction will include drawing from direct observation and various exercises designed to sharpen individual perception. This class is designed for ages 10-14 with an interest in drawing and sketching. Limit is 8 students
Supply List includes:
- 9X12 Bristol Paper Pad (side ring-bound preferred)
- Sketching Pencil Set Cretacolor 6 piece graphite is a good set
- Kneaded Eraser
- Assorted Charcoal sticks (2-3)
- Blending Stump
