Instructor: Sarah Rehmer

First Floor Studio
Through a series of formal and informal writing exercises, group discussions, and keeping a journal, you will begin to recognize the how in your artwork and, more importantly, the why in your artwork. We will discuss what it means to develop a body of work (and why it is important!) and how to find inspiration for your work in your everyday life. Students will be asked to bring a few of their favorite works in, and as a group, we will give a deeper look to start to recognize recurrent themes. While a finished statement may not happen by the end of the class, what will happen is you will gain a deeper understanding into your artwork and what drives you to create.
Class is limited to 10 students for ample discussion time for all.
Supply List: Sketchbook and pens.
