Paper Printing Alchemy: an intro to eco-prints

This workshop is for the artist who loves the unexpected alchemy that can happen when a little time and some heat are applied to plants, flowers, and papers to make a unique eco-dyed print. We will explore the steam method for printing, as well as modifiers to change the colors of our final prints. You will come away from the workshop with a treasure trove of papers that can be used in collage, book making, or even stand on their own as a beautiful finished botanical print.
Most supplies are included with registration fee.

Please bring:
- scissors
- a roll of paper towels
- roll of parchment paper
- notebook
- papers: anything you have in your studio – I will have lots with me, but they will also be basic white paper, so if you want to try and print on something decorative, bring it with
- plants from your yard. I will email you more info closer to the date of class with the types that print well.
- A few pairs of gloves, vinyl or nitrile
- Apron or studio smock
