Description: In this 8-week class, we will explore the exciting possibilities of combining ink paints and textiles to create one-of-a-kind mixed media artworks. We will cover a range of techniques, including using ink paints to create interesting patterns and textures on different types of fabric to add depth and dimension to your pieces, and experimenting with layering different materials to create unique and dynamic compositions.
Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of materials and tools, including ink paints, brushes, fabric, embroidery thread, and needles. You will also learn about different surface design techniques to create striking and original designs.
One of the exciting aspects of this class is that it encourages experimentation and playfulness with materials. You will be encouraged to experiment with different combinations of colors, textures, and materials to create truly original pieces that reflect your own personal style and vision.
This class is suitable for artists of all levels, from beginners to more experienced artists looking to expand their skillset. Whether you're interested in creating textile-based art pieces, or looking to incorporate new techniques into your existing practice, this class will provide you with the knowledge and tools to do so. By the end of the class, you will have created several unique and visually striking mixed media artworks, and will have gained a deeper understanding of the possibilities of combining ink paints and textiles in your creative practice.
