Class Overview:

Discover the magic of painting with pigmented beeswax! In this engaging workshop, you'll learn essential encaustic techniques while also experimenting with vibrant monotypes and expressive drawing using a hot stylus tool.

You’ll learn how to:

• Prepare surfaces and materials for encaustic painting

• Apply wax, fuse layers, and create both smooth and textured finishes

• Layer and carve into wax to build depth and detail

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have created several unique pieces and gained the foundational skills—and confidence—to continue exploring this timeless, tactile medium. Let the warmth and versatility of encaustic painting ignite your creativity!

Short Break for Lunch in the middle of session. Feel free to pack a lunch.

Additional supplies that each person should bring:
