Open Call for Art- Feb 2026 Exhibition Healing Through Art

The LaGrange Art League invites artists to submit work for our February exhibition,  Healing through Art.

ART has the power to heal, inspire, provoke, challenge, and offer hope. It can serve as a catalyst for personal and collective healing—strengthening individuals, uplifting communities, and bringing awareness to the world around us. We believe artists are powerful world changers, and we welcome works that reflect this transformative impact.

This celebrated exhibition will be on view February 3–26, 2026, at the La Grange Art League Gallery, 122 Calendar Avenue, La Grange, IL 60525.

Exhibition Details

Eligible media: painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, and mixed media.

This exhibition highlights both intuitive, impulse-driven creativity and thoughtful, intentional inspiration—especially as it relates to healing and transformation.

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Open to artists High School Students and older
  • Eligible media: painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, mixed media & sculpture
  • Artwork must be original, created after January 1, 2020
  • Maximum size: 48" (height or width)
  • Maximum weight: 40 lbs
  • Works on paper: framed under glass with clean, dust-free mats
  • All artwork must be wired for hanging using two D-rings placed one-third from the top
  • Wire must be taut and not visible above the frame
  • Bumpers required on bottom corners
  • Unframed canvases: must have finished edges (approx. 1.5") and follow identical wiring standards

    Hand-delivery only — shipped works will not be accepted

Submission Guidelines

  • Each application allows one artwork submission- Because of space limitations only one entry per person

  • 3D artists may include one additional detail/alternate-view image

Images must be JPEG, 300 DPI, under 5 MB Labeled with: Title_Artist Name_Medium

Entry Fee

Free for current LGAL Artist Members

$20 per application for  every one else (non-refundable)

Half of all entry fees will be donated to Charity dealing with Healing

Key Dates

  • Online Submissions Open: December 11, 2025
  • Submission Deadline: January 23, 2026 (midnight CST)
  • Artwork Drop-Off: January 30–31, 2026 (10 AM–5 PM)
  • Exhibition: February 3–28, 2026
  • Reception: Saturday, February 21, 2026 (2–4 PM)
  • Artwork Pick-Up: February 27–28, 2026
