Supply List

Instructor: Sarah Rehmer
Email: info@rehmer-studio.com

Photo + Encaustic with Sarah Rehmer: supply list Mandatory Items:
  • Roll of paper towel (should be Viva brand or shop towels from the hardware store, the hot wax soaks through others too quickly)
  • 1 roll of 1” 3M blue painters tape (do not buy the Duck brand, does not have enough tack)
  • A jump drive with your images on that we will print on site. Landscape and architectural photos work best, bring a variety to choose from. Photos should be sized 11”x14” at a resolution of 300 ppi, we will adjust for final print size on site.
  • X-Acto knife with #11 blades
  • A roll of baking parchment paper small spray bottle for water
  • 4-6 Panels to work on: I suggest ordering from cheapjoes.com, get the “Joe’s Prime Cradled Painting Panels (standard or extra- deep) in various sizes. Do not get panels any larger than 11”x14”. Please get at least 2 that is an 8x10 for specific image and printing methods
Optional Items:
  • Self-healing cutting mat
  • Papers you may want to collage into the work
  • Dried- pressed plant materials that can be pressed into the work
